Services

The admin panel has two optional service tabs you can turn on or off as needed: WhatsApp and Health monitor.

WhatsApp

The WhatsApp tab decides whether the Runner accepts and processes WhatsApp commands that start robots.

Turning WhatsApp on

  1. In the admin panel, open the WhatsApp tab.
  2. Turn on the Enable WhatsApp toggle.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Restart the Runner for the change to take effect.

Prerequisite

Before turning this on, make sure the WhatsApp bot is configured in Roberty Studio (Devices → pick the device → WhatsApp tab). The Runner only processes the commands; creating the number and linking it happens in the Studio.

Restart required

Turning WhatsApp on or off requires restarting the Runner.

To decide which robots answer which WhatsApp commands, see Starting a robot over WhatsApp.

Health monitor

The Health monitor tab controls a service that periodically checks the health of the Runner's internal services and how much of the machine's resources are in use (CPU, memory, and so on).

What it watches

The health monitor collects metrics such as:

  • Whether the Runner's internal services are available
  • The machine's resource use (CPU, memory)
  • General indicators of the environment's health

The metrics it collects are available in Roberty Studio, under Monitoring for the matching device.

Turning the health monitor on

  1. In the admin panel, open the Health monitor tab.
  2. Turn on the Enable health monitor toggle.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Restart the Runner.
Restart required

Turning the health monitor on or off requires restarting the Runner.
