Close page

Closes the current tab or page of a running browser session, without shutting the browser down. Unlike Close browser, this closes only the tab referenced and leaves the browser and its other tabs open.

Browser or page ID​

The browser, tab or iframe opening action representing the tab being closed.

Returns​

This action has no returns.

Rules and conditions​

  • Browser or page ID is required.
  • Once the tab is closed, references to it cannot be used by later actions.
  • If the browser has only one tab open, closing it may shut the whole browser down, depending on the operating system's settings.
