Move an item from a drive

Move an item from a drive

Moves a file or folder to a new destination within the SharePoint drive.


Options​

Drive​

Select the action that gets the SharePoint drive: Get a drive from the list or Get drive by name.

Current path of the item to be moved​

Enter the current path of the file or folder, including the item name, from the root of the drive, for example Documents/report.pdf.

Path of the destination folder​

Enter the path of the destination folder from the root of the drive, for example Processed/2024. Leave it empty to move it to the root of the drive.

Field selection​

  • success — indicates if the item was moved successfully (Boolean)

Rules and Conditions​

  • The Drive and Current path of the item to be moved fields are required.
  • The item and the destination folder must exist in the drive.
  • If Microsoft Graph rejects the operation (item not found, insufficient permission, etc.), the action fails with the error message returned by the API.
