Rename an item from the drive

Renames an existing file or folder in OneDrive.


Options​

OneDrive account​

Select the OneDrive Login or Connection action set up in the flow.

Path of the file or folder to be renamed​

Enter the path of the file or folder from the root of the drive, including the current name, for example Documents/report.pdf.

New item name​

Enter the new name of the item. If it is a file, include the extension.

Field selection​

  • success — indicates if the item was renamed successfully (Boolean)

Rules and Conditions​

  • The OneDrive account, Path of the file or folder to be renamed and New item name fields are required.
  • The item must exist in OneDrive.
  • If Microsoft Graph rejects the operation (item not found, insufficient permission, etc.), the action fails with the error message returned by the API.
