General
The General tab holds the agent's basic identity and behaviour settings.
Reach it through the Settings icon in the editor's side navigation, General tab.
The agent's avatar
The image shown on chat screens next to the agent's name and description.
Click the avatar area to upload one. Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF. Maximum size: 2 MB.
To remove it, click the bin icon that appears over the image.
The agent's name
The name users see everywhere. Limit: 80 characters.
Description
A short description of what the agent is for — it helps users know when to reach for it. Limit: 500 characters.
Agent active
The toggle that controls whether the agent is available.
| State | What happens |
|---|---|
| Active | Users can start conversations; the integrations answer normally |
| Inactive | New conversations cannot be started; the integrations stop answering |
Welcome message
With this on, the agent posts an automatic message at the start of every new conversation. The text field only appears while the toggle is on.
Importing and exporting the agent
Backs up or restores the agent's entire configuration as JSON.
Exporting
Click Export agent to download a .json file with the complete configuration of the current working version.
Importing
Click Import agent and pick a .json file you exported earlier.
Importing replaces everything in the current working version: settings, tools, arguments, context and guardrails. It cannot be undone.
Before importing, consider exporting the current version, or publishing one under Versions, to preserve the current state.
