Contextual grounding check

Make sure the agent's answers are grounded in the context of the documents you uploaded.

Contextual grounding check

The Contextual grounding check tab judges whether the agent's answers are grounded in the documents uploaded under Context. Answers without enough grounding are blocked.

Use this filter when the agent must answer strictly from documents — manuals, internal policies, knowledge bases.

Turn the contextual grounding check on

Turn on Enable the contextual grounding check so the agent measures how well each answer is grounded.

Enabling it makes the score threshold available.

Score threshold

The slider sets the minimum grounding required for an answer to be accepted, from 0 (no requirement) to 1 (fully grounded).

  • Lower values allow answers with less basis in the documents.
  • Higher values require the answer to be firmly based on the content you uploaded.

The default is 0.5.

info

This filter only does anything when the agent has documents under Context. With no documents there is nothing to ground against.

caution

The contextual grounding check is still being built. The settings save, but automatic blocking of answers is not available yet.
